Under the guidance of the Manager, Membership Marketing this leadership role will develop, manage, execute and monitor marketing plans for AMA Automotive Services, as well as support membership marketing objectives. The chosen candidate will be required to work closely with Automotive Services and Membership management staff to ensure marketing efforts support business goals, objectives and processes.
?
The successful candidate will have a degree or diploma in Marketing with a minimum of 5 years marketing and/or advertising agency experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated customer focus and the ability to manage multiple tasks of competing priority are required skills.
Major Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
(Include but are not limited to)
- Meet with business area management on a regular basis to keep current with business needs, relevant changes to products and services, market considerations and the overall business environment
- Assess business area needs and develop marketing strategies, plans, programs, budgets and external communications as required to meet these needs
- Work with internal and external partners and affiliate organizations in cooperative marketing activities
- Make use of marketing database technology for profiling, segmentation and targeting, data mining, direct marketing and campaign analysis
- Work with the business area and Web Content Specialist in aligning and coordinating off-line and on-line marketing activities to optimally market products and services on the AMA website and other online properties
- Provide support to the broader membership marketing portfolio and its objectives.
Background (Education/Licenses/Work Experience):
- Post secondary degree or diploma in marketing or a related area
- Minimum of 5 years marketing or advertising agency experience
- Experience managing marketing plans, programs and campaigns
Skills & Proficiency:
- Proficient in: identifying marketing opportunities, developing marketing strategies, implementing, integrating and managing marketing programs - creative development, internal communications and budget management
- Marketing database use and working knowledge of commonly accepted marketing measures (profiling, segmentation, targeting, response analysis and RFM analysis).
- Managing direct mail campaigns including design, budgets, deployment, tracking and evaluation
- Proficient in working with the following software packages: MS Office programs (Word,? PowerPoint,? Excel, Outlook)
- Accounting knowledge to manage a project budget
- Demonstrated ability in planning, scheduling, organization and analytical skills
- Above average oral and written communications and self-motivation
Personal Characteristics:
- ?The candidate we are looking for is someone who draws strength from having varying types of marketing responsibilities and is able to take ownership of marketing solutions and processes.? He/she will have experience in collaborating and gaining consensus from multiple work groups and senior management. Preferably with experience in membership or automotive marketing, he/she will have developed a strong business sense by learning and understanding the marketing needs of internal stakeholders and turning them into marketing action. On the other hand, he/she will have the ability to manage projects and processes with a keen interest in furthering marketing capabilities.? ?????
